千里眼與順風耳將軍神像之形態調查與量化分析

摘要
本文主旨為千里眼與順風耳將軍神像之形態調查與量化分析，研究方法是採用田野調查之攝影記錄，統計與歸納各地神像特徵之變化異同。本研究區域包括台灣與日本，共考察174座廟宇、1座博物館與2場廟會。研究結果呈現神像的豐富形態，主要調查結果如以下7項：(1)千里眼與順風耳膚色分別以綠與紅居多，少數為綠紅互相對調；(2)頭戴物以箍佔多數；(3)千里眼頭角數以雙角佔多數，順風耳則以單角居多；(4)順風耳朝下獠牙佔一半比例，千里眼則各項獠牙特徵比例均勻；(5)兵器以斧和戢居多，兩將軍各持其一或均持斧；(6)千里眼大部分手勢為置於額旁，順風耳則於耳旁，手勢為區分兩將軍之重要特徵；(7)在神像擺置方面，最常見特徵為：千里眼站於龍邊(媽祖之左側)、順風耳站於虎邊(媽祖之右側)，少數為左右對調。

Abstract
This paper presents the pattern survey and quantitative analysis on deity statues of the Thousand-Mile-Eye and Wind-Ear Generals, i.e., the two protectors of the goddess Mazu. This study has surveyed 174 temples, 1 museum, and 2 temple fairs in Taiwan and Japan. As a result, seven kinds of patterns are discussed and it shows diverse forms of these statues.
